Chapter 1: Reborn   Gelrae's eyes flicked open and awareness returned to him all too quickly. His body was wracked with crippling pain all over. His right eye was forced shut almost immediately as blood from a wound somewhere on his head washed over it. A sudden coughing fit denied him even the strength to cry out, and a familiar metallic taste filled his mouth. His chest began spasm violently as he spewed blood into the snow he was lying in. Snow? When did it snow? How did I even get outside? It would explain how utterly cold he felt inside and out; but then again so could blood loss. After spitting more blood from his mouth, Gelra
